FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SEDA-1 Conference 'Clean and Green Haiti' Postponed
The June 26-29 SEDA-1 Conference 'Clean and Green Haiti 2023' is tentatively re-scheduled for August 17-20 due to widespread flood devastation and adverse conditions which affect the island nation. Re-titled 'Clean and Green Haiti 2030' a greatly expanded agenda will engage our Grand South Delegation comprised of 300 mayors, commissioners, police chiefs, prison wardens, and directors of medical facilities, orphanages, schools. Also our Grand South Mayors Task Force, which seeks up to $117.3M of Haiti Relief Funds recently announced by international benefactors. SEDA's fundraisers seek $2.5M for Clean and Green Emergency Services and $3.0M for Masterplan Phase One fulfillment. Grantors, investors and sponsors are reminded that Haitians suffer the shortest lifespan and lowest per capital income in the Western hemisphere.
SEDA-1 is the first of three planned conferences on best practices and technologies for alternative energy production, civilian crime prevention and corrections, climate resilience, community clean-up, food security, job creation, public health, quality of life issues, recycling, sanitation, and waste treatment. Grand South Mayors Task Force will seek vital relief aid, then equitably deploy funds in alignment with blueprints: Help-Haiti Masterplan and SEDA Grand South Design 2030. This includes major infrastructure projects Grand South E-W Railway, and SEDA Air-Water Terminal for Petit-Goave’s proposed airfield and cargo dock.
SEDA invites US partners, sponsors, and stakeholders to register for 3-day Conference or Gala Dinner Celebration of our Delegates optimism, patriotism and commitment to Haiti's founders' dream of a thriving democracy.
